Business Development Representative

Established and growing distribution company seeks business development representatives in markets throughout southern British Columbia, including the Okanagan and Lower Mainland. We have been in business since 1985 and have positioned ourselves as a leader in our industry in Western Canada.

Your ambition and drive is what sets you apart from most salespeople you know. You know where you want to be, and just need the right opportunity to get there. Taking action and being responsible for your actions is comfortable to you as well as moving the sales process along and turning prospects into customers. You are confident in your role and are effective at resisting "think it over's".

You have more than ten years of business-to-business sales experience and are very comfortable in a new business development role. You enjoy presenting high value products and solutions to clients and selling against "me-too" salespersons that spend too much time selling commodities to bring value and overall cost savings to their clients.

Your effective questioning and qualifying skills are almost as good as your active listening. You know the difference between being assertive and aggressive and that staying composed in the sales process is key. Your past and current clients and customers enjoy dealing with you, as you make the sales experience a refreshing one; one filled with "follow through" and not just "follow up."

This position has the opportunity to pay the right individual a competitive base salary of $3,000 to $4,000 per month in the first year plus generous incentives for growth and new business development. Additional benefits include a car allowance for business use of your personal vehicle.   • Computer savvy and have used CRM software in the past.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint,
  • Listening to prospective clients to identify challenges and opportunities,
  • Developing recommendations that address client challenges,
  • Assisting clients with implementation, and
  • Keeping clients happy over the long run and continuing to bring value to their organization, long-term.


  • Business to business sales experience, and
  • Sold at the executive level in the past.


  • Goal oriented and enthusiastic, and
  • Open to instruction and suggestions.
